Chomp by Carl Hiaasen

If you like reading about adventures and dramas or excitement then you should read the book Chomp. This book is about two girls named Tuna and Raven Stark. There is also a couple of boys in this book their names are Mickey Cray, Wahoo, Derek Badger, Link, and Jared Gordon. In the beginning Mickey Cray had really bad headaches because over the winter while he was in his backyard a dead iguana fell on his head and gave him a concusion. The only problem is that the Cray family was running out of money because Mickey Cray owns a lot of snakes and wild animals in his backyard and he has to buy food to feed them (which is very expensive). So Wahoo's mom went to China to teach a language class there and Mickey Cray and Wahoo got a call that Derek Badger (the famous TV star) wants to borrow some of Mickey's animals for his Everglades show. While the crew is taping Derek's show (in Mickey's backyard) Derek makes an alligator mad and he almost gets killed but Mickey jumped in to save Derek and he did. Derek decides that Mickey is really brave so he decides to make the show in an actual Forest instead of in a backyard. Read the book to read if everything goes all right or not.

In the seventh book of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Greg still goes through the tortures of high school. Greg and Rowley both want to run in the debate. Rowley can but Greg can't because you cannot have a single detention or else you can't run in the debate. Greg's year really gets bad when his Uncle Gary stays at the Heffley's and stays on there couch. [SPOILER ALERT!!!!] Some how Greg gets Rowley to run in the debate, the dance is also coming up at there school so Greg gets Rowley to be his wingman... and I don't think Greg is very happy with the way things turned out. How will Greg survive this year?

I really enjoyed this book, I had a lot of reactions to parts in the story but I won't spoil them. The Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan

In my opinion the Battle of the Labyrinth is the best book by Rick Riordan.  I think anybody who is reading the series should look forward to book four.

So at camp Percy is predicting that there will be an invasion at camp by Luke’s army.  If you read the books common sense says that's really bad because Half-Blood Hill is the only safe place in the world for demigods.  Half-Blood hill protects them from weather, (which gods can make dangerous) monsters, and Luke’s army.  The camp is protected by the camps boarders(which is produced by a tree, but that's another story).  The fleece makes the camps boarders work.  [SPOILER ALERT!!!] Luke’s army is going to invade from an entrance to the labyrinth.  Annabeth, Grover, Tyson, and Percy all volunteer to go into the labyrinth find Daedalus which is the inventor of the labyrinth.  If Luke’s army gets to it first Daedalus might give them directions or the string to find there way.  On the way there all four friends make a few stops (but that's not important READ the book).  After walking they split up by force Percy and Annabeth are following a spider that Hephaestus gave them.  He said it will lead you straight to the workshop of Daedalus.  Grover and Tyson find a path that they believe is going to lead to the lost god Pan (Grovers life goal).

I think you should read this book because like I said I think it’s the best book ever by Rick Riordan.  I would recommend any other books by Rick Riordan.  This book is an action packed thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat, turning page after page.

The Sneetches and Other Stories by Dr. Seuss

I really liked your book, The Sneetches. This is one of the bestest books I have ever read.

My fifth grade teacher read this book to me. When I got to sixth grade my language arts teacher told us that we had to look through our literature book and read a story and write a letter to the author of the story, that is when I saw the Sneetches.

In the beginning, the star belly sneetches treated the plain belly sneetches some what differently than they treat them selves. I think that the star belly sneetches is mean and need to be taught a lesson from the plain belly sneetches for being so judgmental.

In the middle of the story, Sylvester McMonkey McBean comes with a machine that can make the plain belly sneetches have stars. So when the plain belly sneetches went in and came out they had stars. The star belly sneetches didn't like the plain belly sneetches having stars like them so they said ''Stars are no longer in style.'' So sylvester said that they can go through his star off machine. So they went through and when they came out they didn't have stars. So the plain belly sneetches did the same.

So since they couldn't tell which sneetch was which they decided that a sneetch is a sneetch!

In 1815 Agnes Wilkins is having her debut. She can speak 10 languages. She is getting ready for a party at Showalter's. Showalter is looking into Agnes' eyes and Agnes is looking into his. He slowly takes his eyes off of her. He welcomes Agnes. Then he goes into a room where there is a mummy. Showalter tells Agnes that she can start unwrapping the mummy. Agnes is hesitating to unwrap the mummy. The people get bored so some start unwrapping even though she hasn't. Soon she finds the courage to unwrap the mummy. People find things. Showalter is looking at what they found. Agnes sees something and unwraps faster. She finds a little metal dog head. She sees Showalter isn't watching so she hides the dog's head in her bodice. Bad things start to happen like a person from the party is killed. They think there is a curse. Do you know who did the damage to the people?

I really thought the book was really interesting. It included many facts that we learned in social studies. I think this is a good book for 6-8 graders because they learned about social studies in 6th grade. It gives them a chance to remember and love the things they learned in the past or now.

Goosebumps: The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb

This book is about a boy that goes on a vacation and his parents leave him with his uncle in Egypt. This boy’s uncle has a daughter a couple months older then he is and she acts like a mother to him and teases him the whole time. So one day they go into the Pyramid and something bad happens. If you want to know read this awesome book, I really recommend it. My favorite part of the book was when the boys cousin always scares him in the book and sometimes he gets a heart attack. I can connect to this book because when I saw the cover at first it looked not that good. But when I read the first page of the book the letters just sunk into my mind and I was so into this book because it has lots of action and adventure and horror.
