Do you love Stephen King or any type of scary stories? Then Young Monsters is the book for you. Young Monsters is a book that is made up of other short stories from multiple authors. For example, Stephen Hawking. One example of a story is Young Creature. A new kid comes to Michigan and goes into a cave with his new friend. He then finds out that he is some kind of creature. So the main idea of this book is that all of these stories has a monster like the one in Optical Illusion (a story in the book). The London Eye Mystery by Siobhan Dowd

This book is a rather enticing and interesting read. it is fictional, and yet, you still learn quite a bit about London and tourist attractions there. Ted is a boy with a mental syndrome, his brain works differently than everyone elses. Ted loves the weather and wants to be a meteorologist someday.

When his Aunt Gloria and cousin Salim come for a brief visit, Ted's weather skills are put to the test when Salim disappears while riding the London Eye. I enjoyed this book for it's interesting, funny way of explaining the plot; and also because of how well it shows you the way people with mental syndromes think. Read this book, you will enjoy it, and it's hidden learning!
