The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

In the book The Fault in our Stars is a fiction book and it is about this girl name Hazel who goes to support group because her mom thinks she needs to go and meet new friends. When Hazel went to support group one day she meets this boy Augustus and they become really good friends. One day Hazel writes a note to her favorite author and she wants to know what happens next because the book does not say so the author wants her to come where the author is. But the doctors do not know if she can go because she has lung cancer and her parents don't have enough money so Augustus tries to help. I really like this book because you see things in different ways and you can feel the characters feelings too. I would recommend this book to people that like twists in the books and who like a little romance and sad books. In this book I learned not to judge someone on how they look.

Inheritance by Christopher Paolini (Series Bk. 4)

In this this book the main characters Eragon, Saphira, Roran, and Arya go out to fight and kill an evil king named Galbatorix. They take all the cities that are at the king’s command. Eragon, Saphira, Roran, and Arya go on many different adventures and battle many different magical creatures.

I recommend this book to people who really like fantasies, action, and fiction. I recommend this book to kids in 6th-9th grade. I don’t recommend this book for little kids because it is hard and there is lot of death. I really enjoyed this book. This book has a lot of twists which I really liked and has a very happy ending after a lot of violence. However I wish it was shorter.

Unwind by Neal Shusterman

Unwind is about three kids who are sent by their parents to be 'unwound'. Unwinding is basically a 'retroactive abortion' where you are taken apart, limb by limb, without really dying. They say that you aren't really dead because your soul supposedly stays with your body parts. You can legally be unwound from the ages of 13-18. The trio has to avoid being caught by the Juvenile Authority and parts pirates (people who unwind kids illegally). Will they make it to 18? Read to find out!

The Thing About Georgie by Lisa Graff

The book I chose is The Thing About Georgie by Lisa Graff. The genre of this book is realistic fiction. I enjoyed this book so much. The book is about a kid name Georgie he is only two feet tall and the kids make fun of him because of his height. In his school they give Georgie lower coat hangers because of his height. His mom is having a baby but he is not happy about it because he knows the baby will be taller then him. In the book one of Georgie's enemies Jeanie which Georgie calls "Jeanie The Meanie" always bothers him in class. She's always poking him on the back and making fun of him. Georgie is friends with Andy, they always hangout and walk dogs after school, but that changes. Georgie is stuck with Jeanie for a project and he can't take it. This book changed the way I was thinking things because there's a lot of people I know that are small and I don't pick on them just because there shorter then most people, nobody should. I would recommend this book to people who like books where you are gonna turn the page to see what happened because I did that a couple of times during this book. You have to read the end to find out what happens because I was a little shocked!

Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor (Series Book 2)

Set in 1933 Missouri during the Great Depression. Cassie Logan is a normal African American girl that works in the farm and goes to school. Throughout the book there is many moments of intolerance towards African Americans. From the night men hanging and burning people. To the threats of Harlan Granger taking back the Logan family's land. This book is great at showing what life was like at that time. It is a great book for those who like historical fiction.

The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan is the third book in his Roman series. It is about demigods (children of the gods). In this book, Annabeth Chase who is a daughter of Athena is given a quest by her mother. During this quest Annabeth and her friends have to make peace with the Roman camp, Camp Juptier. But they "accidentally" blow up part of their camp and declare war. Because of this Annabeth and her friends are on the run trying to get as far away from the Romans as possibly. At the same time they have to save their friend Nico from giants and find a golden statue of Athena in Rome. Survivors: The Empty City by Erin Hunter (Series book 1)

The book that I chose to review is called, The Empty City. It was written by the author with the award winning Warriors series, Erin Hunter. The genre of this book is Fantasy because animals are talking to each other and I’m positive that animals don’t talk. I enjoyed this book because the conflict kept me on my toes with excitement and on the edge of my seat. The Empty City is about Lucky who went through a lot pain and suffering after a big storm that destroyed the pound. Since Lucky was alone, he tries to find his own path for survival. He realizes that no humans are around. Houses are empty and lights were out. To me, it sounds like a ghost town! He then ran into a pack of dogs and saw one dog that looked familiar (not going to say who or how Lucky recognizes that one dog). He then chose to go with them because the pack didn’t know how to do some survival skills and the pack wanted Lucky to teach them. On the way they run into some new friends and also danger but they can handle what’s coming to them. So they go on with their adventure for survival. I learned in this book that survival is hard on you in the world. I recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure and action. Also to anyone who likes Erin Hunter’s other books, this is another outstanding job! If you will want to find out what happens next in their journey, you will have to read the book and the series to find out.

Heartbeat by Sharon Creech

I really liked this book. It had good details and anything could happen. Running is what a 12 year old girl named Annie loves to do. When she's barefoot running, she can hear her heart beating. Her mother is pregnant, her grandfather is forgetful, and her best friend, Max, is always moody. Everything is changing. Just like the apple Annie has been assigned to draw 100 times. I would recommend this to kids ages 8-12.

This Means War by Ellen Wittlinger

This means war is about this group of kids and they think that it would be fun to have little tests to prove who's better the guys or the girls. So every day they would have a test and who ever got the most points would get to pick the next challenge. Then when Bruce (a main character) thought after the test the girls picked was unfair he said "this is war, you hear me, WAR". Then it started to get really dangerous. Half the girls team quit and it eventually got to the point where people got really injured. Read the book to find out what happens!
