I Know What You Did Last Summer by Lois Duncan

Have you ever had a secret? A secret so great you can't tell anybody in the world even your best friend or mom and dad. Well a group of 4 teenagers named Ray, Julie, Helen, and Barry do and someone knows now too. It all started one day when Julie got a mysterious letter in the mail. And in the mail there were the words I know what you did last summer. Julie gets freaked and calls here best friends Helen and Barry. They think it is a prank from Ray until the others receive something about the secret too. I think this is one of the best books I've read in a long time and I would recommend this book to people who like suspense and thrills when they read.

A Dog's Purpose by W. Bruce Cameron

If you love dog's then I suggest this book for you. This book is basically about a dog trying to learn from his life, but it's not easy when he gets reborn again and again. It's difficult to understand, but this dog starts out to be a stray and he is trying to find his lesson in this life. But then gets reborn again into a better life. I thought this book was my favorite, and it was a little sad. I recommend that tons of people read this book.

Skeleton Creek the Raven by Patrick Carman

Trying to find the apostle's message of the crossbones is really hard but not for Sarah Fincher and Ryan McCray. These two main characters have been hunting for the crossbones treasure by following the apostle's trail. Sarah Fincher was at a Hollywood film camp for a couple of weeks over the summer and after she left that's when the ghostly tale really begins. Back in Skeleton Creek Ryan has been researching the areas in the apostle's map which will lead them to the crossbones treasure. Sarah goes to a lot of places to find each clue of the apostle's. They have two puzzles a raven and the one that the ghost of old Joe Bush had that they'd taken. Find out the treasures they might find or will they go home broke? Find out by reading Skeleton Creek the Raven.

Do you love Stephen King or any type of scary stories? Then Young Monsters is the book for you. Young Monsters is a book that is made up of other short stories from multiple authors. For example, Stephen Hawking. One example of a story is Young Creature. A new kid comes to Michigan and goes into a cave with his new friend. He then finds out that he is some kind of creature. So the main idea of this book is that all of these stories has a monster like the one in Optical Illusion (a story in the book). So if your looking for a good scare Young Monsters is the book for you.

The London Eye Mystery by Siobhan Dowd

This book is a rather enticing and interesting read. it is fictional, and yet, you still learn quite a bit about London and tourist attractions there. Ted is a boy with a mental syndrome, his brain works differently than everyone elses. Ted loves the weather and wants to be a meteorologist someday.

When his Aunt Gloria and cousin Salim come for a brief visit, Ted's weather skills are put to the test when Salim disappears while riding the London Eye. I enjoyed this book for it's interesting, funny way of explaining the plot; and also because of how well it shows you the way people with mental syndromes think. Read this book, you will enjoy it, and it's hidden learning!

And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie

Absolutely the best mystery I have ever read. When people say that you would have never guessed, this book has been proven by the top investigators that you CAN NOT solve the mystery until THE very last page [Spoiler Alert! (even after the epilogue!)]. I love this book, and I'm not one for mysteries, but this book was just awesome. Be careful though, this book is a slightly higher level read with some older words you might not understand. You can look them up. Everyone should read this book.

Schooled by Gordon Korman

The book starts out when Capricorn Anderson drives his grandmother to the hospital because she fell down a tree and broke her spine in a hippie community called Garland. After Cap finds that his grandmother, Rain, needs to recover for a couple of months he gets sent to a regular school with a new home with Mrs. Donnelly, who was a former member of Garland. But what cap doesn't know is that Zach Powers and his other friends are looking for the biggest and most pathetic nerd to become school president, and if your class president for C average middle school........... Well your pretty much a goner!

Go Big or Go Home by Will Hobbs

This book is about a meteorite who comes down to the Black Hills of South Dakota and lands in the room of a kid named Brady Steele through his bed. Then one day Brady starts having extraterrestrial bacteria that gives him a lot of energy [SPOILER ALERT!!] and he won the extreme bicycling and beat his cousin Quinn. My favorite part of the book was when Brady found the meteorite and he was all shocked and amazed because it’s rare to find a meteorite in your own bed. I picked the above adjectives because: It’s how I felt and described this book when I read it. If you like surprising books, you will definitely like this book!!

This book is about a boy named Gregor who has no father because he disappeared right before his eyes. Gregor wanted to go to a camp but his mom wouldn’t let him because he has to watch his baby sister Boots (which is not her real name). So Gregor’s mom went to work and Gregor and his sister Boots go to the laundry room. But while they were down there they both fell into something so they both went into a whole different world. So they both are the ‘chosen one’ and creepy things happen down in the underworld. Now Gregor has to find his father down in the underworld.

Darcy has a good life until she finds out that her parents got back. Her first love is moving and she finds a new guy who makes her feel comfortable. Who could it be and what is she gonna do? Read and find out. I picked the above adjectives because that's what describes the book. I chose these adjectives because it’s serious the way that they handle their relationship. It’s awesome how they get in fights and stuff. The whole story is surprising because they do something you don’t expect.

Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life by Wendy Mass

This book is about a 12 year old boy whose dad is dead. The boy finds out that his dad left a box for him but Jeremy can’t find the keys to open the box and figure out what is inside of it. My favorite part of the book is when Jeremy gets caught by the police in the Post office. Jeremy and his best friend have to help a guy pack out of his house without getting caught. I recommend this book because it’s really funny and interesting and its something that could happen in real life. They have to go to a lot of places to find the keys that are missing. There are surprising things that happen along the book. If you like humor, you will definitely like this book!!

This book is about a pickle that was frozen for one hundred years and comes to life. This pickle lived under a little girls room and the pickle was on a mission he tried to stop other evil vegetables. One of the evil vegetables is a lettuce and that is the one he is trying to stop. So one day the vegetable came to the house the little girl lives and entered her lunch box. The pickle tried to stop it but the girl has a food fight and something happens to the vegetable. Read this book to find out what happen to the lettuce and if the pickle caught him!

My favorite part of the book was when the little girl gets scared when she finds out the pickle is talking!

I can connect to this book because it was a really cool graphic novel that I really enjoyed and thought that was the awesomest book ever and fast to read.

Do you love the Percy Jackson series and wish there were more. Well fear not I have a solution. The new series the Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan is a funny mythology filled book. The book starts off when Carter and his sister Sadie go to a museum with his dad and his dad said he'll make things write. And he then blew up the Rosetta Stone and unleashed 5 gods and one of the five gods is Set (the bad guy or the antagonist of the story). But not only that Carter's and Saide's dad is locked up in a sarcophagus and is locked there. Now Carter and Sadie must save their dad and the whole world from Set.

I would recommend this book to students who love romance and who are very curious because WALK TWO MOONS is about a girl who goes to see her mother in Lewiston Ohio along with her grandparents and she tells them about this wonderful adventure her and her friend Pheeby Winterbottom and how strange things happen to her family strange note, a lunatic, somebody gone missing!!! This book also teaches a lot of lessons and is funny to! Also not everything is not what it seems!!!

Nose Pickers From Outer Space was a really interesting book. It was about this exchange program and Devin gets a nerd exchange student. All of Devin's friends got really cool students. His exchange student, Stan, kept picking his nose and weird things kept happening. Devin didn't know how Stan did different chores so fast. That night he took his mom's mirror and looked up Stan's nose because when Stan fell asleep his nose would make a weird noise. If you want to find out what happens you should read the book. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did.

My Abnormal Life is about these two girls who live in an apartment and the mom sleeps all the time so the girl named Rose has to steal food for the family and the other daughter has different kinds of problems. Then when Rose gets caught stealing the food then they get put up for foster care and the two girls go to different families. Rose is trying to find ways to get the family back together. If you want to see if the family gets back to together or don't, you have to read the book. I really enjoyed this book and I think you will too.

Her last year friends didn't even talk to her, she went from straight B's to C's and D's, she skipped school, most of her teachers didn't like her either. Her parents often got mad at each other and were sometimes on the edge of getting a divorce. Will her life ever change? Or will this always be her life.

A good read. Great story line. Enjoyed very much. Melinda Solino, a new high school sophomore dealing with the troubles of kids at school because of calling the cops on a senior summer party at the end the that past summer. But no one knows the TRUE reason why she called the cops. It wasn't about the party. Told from Melinda's point of view, this story takes you through Melinda's high school life, the twists and turns of a girl going from straight A student, to a rebel avoiding school at all costs. The consequences fierce. Surprise ending, and an overall great read.

The Hostile Hospital by Lemony Snicket (A Series of Unfortunate Events - Bk. 8)

The summary of this book is that 3 kids' parents died in a fire but one of the parent is alive. The 3 kids are alone their names are Violet, Klaus, and Sunny. They were with Mr.Poe he has been taking care of them but one day there was a hospital van so they into it they trying to be like the V.F.D. They wanted to go in the library of records to see who is Olaf's real name because he used to work in the hospital. Then a doctor was going to operate on Violet but then the 2 little kids rescued her then they went on Olaf's car. I will recommend to my friends. :)

The Clique by Lisi Harrison

The Clique is a story about 4 popular girls. Massie Block, Kristen Gregory, Dylan Marvil, and Alicia Rivera. When Massie hears news that the Lyons' are moving into the Block's guesthouse, she isn't thrilled. When the day comes, she sees poor people. There is a mother, father, daughter, and son. Claire, the daughter really wants to join the Clique, but the crew won't let her. I thought the book was very good, and I recommend it to other girls.

The Son of Neptune is a sequel to The Lost Hero (which is also a great read). The book is about Greek mythology so for you Percy Jackson and the Olympians readers this is a great book to read. The story's about Percy going on a quest to free the death god. But I wont go in to that much detail because you have to read it. But all in all I say that this book was a really good book but I recommend that you read the first one first because some parts you might get confused but Rick Riordan explained it enough and it was good book.

Tally Youngblood was just weeks away until she got her surgery to turn pretty. After years and year looking out from her window and seeing Pretty town, this is what she has been wait for her whole life. Some of her friends already turned pretty, and soon it would be her turn too. But just two weeks before the surgery, she met a girl named Shay. It turned out that they had the same birthday. So that meant they would get pretty on the same day. But the day before the surgery, Shay told Tally that she's not so sure she wanted to turn pretty. Instead, she wanted to run away into the smoke, which is where people that didn't want to become pretty went. But now Tally has the biggest decision of her life. Turn her friend into Special Circumstances and turn pretty, or run away into the smoke and never turn pretty. You are not going to believe her decision! I highly recommend to read it and find out what happens!

The Serpent's Shadow is about 2 kids who gather dozens of kids who are in a pharaohs bloodline meaning decedents of the Egyptian pharaohs. Boy will you love this book! I couldn't put the book down! It was simply to hard to put it down! I certainly recommend this book.

Hot Lunch by Alex Bradley

I really enjoyed this book and I think you will to. It is about a girl named Molly who doesn't like this girl named Cassie. They are assigned to do an assignment together and they don't like each other so they do there own paper and get a bad grade. Then they don't get along and got into a food fight and made the head cook leave. [SPOILER ALERT!!] Then the principal made them have hot lunch duty until there food was better then the head cooks. If you want to find out the end read the book. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I really enjoyed this book because its full of excitement and mystery. If you like adventure books this book is for you. Alex and Connor find a book that takes them to The Land of Stories! The twins find a frog man who tells them about the Wishing Spell. Alex and Conner have to collect 8 items for the Wishing Spell to find their way back home. The twins go on a long adventure to find all these items. Alex and Connor have to race against another person who wants to find these items. When the twins go on this journey to find these items they encounter some weird creatures like, a pack of talking wolves, goblins and trolls, mermaids, and a frog man! If you want to find out what happened to Alex and Connor read the book!

Charlie Joe Jackson's Guide to Not Reading by Tommy Greenwald

If you don't like reading I think you should read this book because a boy named Charlie Joe is writing about how he doesn't like reading and what he does to get out of it. He is really nice to his friends so that they will continue to read his books for him. Then when he has a really big assignment that he has to do and read a lot. He has his friend Jake read the books and help him with an experiment. Nobody knows that he doesn't read any of the books until something happens. If this sounds interesting to you, you should read the book yourself and find out what happens!

This story is about a group of girls who go to a reunion because the one lady is pregnant and they look back to their childhood together and then they talk about this time the 4 of them went to this cemetery and try to make the ghost of this guy Johnny come to life. Then it started raining so they go to leave but then the girls go back to get the candles and see that the tombstone for Johnny was knocked over. So they think they did it and that his ghost was back to life.

So they went to the library to find out how he died but then they found the pages ripped out of the book. So they think he wants them to find out how he died by their selfs. So they looked and looked and looked until one night the 2 girls went to go look and the one girls bracelet fell off and down the sewer. So the girl jumped down to find it and then it started to rain a lot and she could not get out of the sewer and then she started to drown and the other girl started yelling for help then this guy Crazy Peet saved the girl and if you want to find out what happened to Johnny then read the book.

In Down A Dark Hall the main character is a girl named Kit and is sent to a girls' school called Blackwood 'till Christmas. Blackwood seemed good at first but, soon Kit notices weird stuff along the school. Along with Kit, three other girls: Sandy, Ruth, and Lynda. They are feeling some thing about Blackwood, but they just can't find the word.....

Switched (Fear Street Series) by R. L. Stein

Switched is a very good book! It's very interesting it keeps you reading and reading and you just don't want to stop. I actually don't like reading but this book changed my way of thinking it's about a girl trading places with a killer! You guys should really give it a chance and try it!  (:

Confessions of a Serial Kisser by Wendelin Van Draanen

The book "Confessions of a serial kisser" is about a 17 year old girl named Evangeline who reads a romantic Novel that was under her mom's bed. When she was done reading it she changed her look and went on her way to finding her "Crimson kiss". She kisses boys throughout the story to get a feel of the were crimson kissers. [SPOILER ALERT!!!] At the end she kisses her best friends crush and her best friend found out and tries to make Everything ok between her and her best friend. She also has problems with her father.

TTFN (Ta-Ta for Now) Internet Girls Series by Lauren Myracle

This story is about 3 friends that have been friends for many years and now the one girl snow angel is getting weird feelings that something happened that her parents wouldn't tell her or her friends and then one day she goes to a restuarnt and see's her dad there with a different lady and so she thinks her dad is having an affair and so later on in the story [SPOILER ALERT!!!!] she talked to her dad and he said that he just lost his job and that the lady was an work lady to help him find a different job and so she felt better till her dad said that they found a job he liked but it was in a different state and she felt sad because then she would have to leave her best friends and then her and her fiend were talking ad disided that if she didn't want to move then why doesn't she say she doesn't like the house and so read the book for your self if you want to find out if there plan will work or will she have to move.

Empty by Suzanne Weyn

Empty takes place 10 years from now. It's about how the world is running out of oil completely, when the United States is on the brink of war with Venezuela for oil. The U.S. was attacking because Venezuela says they're going to raise the prices on oil barrels from $500 a barrel to $800. But because of the gas shortage the U.S. soldiers were forced to keep fighting, but at a place called Sage Valley 4 teenagers, named Tom, Niki, Gwen, and Hector are having a struggle for food, water and gas. Then two hurricanes, Oscar and Pearl, came together and formed a superhurricane called Oscpearl. Trying to find shelter from the superhurricane, Gwen finds an abandoned cave she remembers from when she was young. [SPOILER ALERT!!!!] So then she searches the cave and comes to an iron door that seems to be clean she walks in the door and finds that there is a house in the side of a hill it is invisible from the outside. So it is the end of one world and a new beginning for another.
