Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is about a boy named Jacob. People thought he was crazy when he told the police he saw a monster with tentacles coming out of it's mouth and no pupils in his eyes, killing his grandfather. His grandfather's last words were "Go to the island Jacob. Before they find you, too." He got his parents to let him go to this island his grandfather was talking about. [Spoiler ALERT] After he arrived, he wanted to know why he was here so he went exploring. He came across a house with a room black and burned. The house had been bombed years and years ago. He then ran back to town and found out he was in a different time period. He went back to the house. The house wasn't all moldy and abandon, like it was before. It's almost like he went back in time. He found these group of kids called peculiars. Is Jacob a peculiar? Read the book to find out! You can find it in the school library.
